EMDR

Eye Movement Desentization and Reprocessing (EMDR Therapy) is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma, anxiety, complicated grief, addictions, post traumatic stress syndrome, disturbing memories, stress, and other areas.

EMDR Therapy is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches.  It was developed by Dr Francine Shapiro beginning in 1987.

Whether it be a single disturbing critical incident, or complex trauma,  EMDR may be helpful to bring  adaptive resolution of the presenting concerns.  Mary Jane Lane is Certified EMDR and a member of EMDRIA, the international professional organization of PR actioners and research.   During the assessment phase, treatment modalities will be discussed which may include EMDR.    Mary Jane Lane LPC LMFT believes collaborative approach to treatment planning brings the most effective outcomes.
